B&B’s such as this come along once in a blue moon. Not knowing the area at all, we opted to stay here because of the very good reviews posted on Trip Advisor and it turned out to be probably the best recommendation we have used to date. From the moment Paula and then Adrian greeted us as we arrived, to the time we left, their genuine care and hospitality was first class. After being shown to our well appointed and spotlessly clean Spa suit we were treated to a scrumptious afternoon tea. Subsequently we walked some of it off around York before returning to a delicious evening meal with very agreeable dining companions, including our hosts. A pleasant night’s repose was disturbed at around 6:30 by a somewhat over enthusiastic train driver at the York town crossing, but dozing off again was not a problem in the comfort of our bed. Eventually surfacing for an excellent breakfast, we departed well fortified for the day ahead. In our opinion there is no better place to stay in the area. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.

Just had an amazing weekend with the family in York, And stayed here at the Olive Branch. It was an absolute delight to stay here. The rooms are the cleanest we have ever seen. The hosts are the most welcoming and amazing people who go above and beyond to make your stay a truly amazing experience. The care and level of detail is remarkable and second to none. I didn’t want to leave. Staying here, you wont be disappointed.

This was our third annual visit and Paula always gives us the same room, so it’s like coming home. The rooms are spotless and the sheets always smell so good. I could sit on the verandah and look at the garden (with olive trees) and the view for hours….Thank you again, Paula and Adrian!
